Prayer for our Brothers in Blue

Our thoughts and prayers are with the 6 injured police officers in Aurora, Illinois, who ran into harm's way to answer the call; risking their lives for people they don't even know. And for the officer's families, and families of the victims of this terrible mass shooting: may the God of justice bring peace and healing to this community.
To our police officers: thank you for the sacrifices you make every day. We may never fully appreciate the work you do to serve and protect, but you have our deepest gratitude and respect.

"I'm Adopted!"

All the kids were singing and jiving to this song today at lunch time... one of Bo's favorites!! (Kitchen floor dancing is the best!) Thanks, Aunt Cali, for sharing it with us a few months ago... ♡

Doing Good with Fear and Trembling

Recently as a family we've been walking through a season of change and transition; not brought on by desire or even fully understanding the season we were walking into, but we're learning a lot about standing up and doing what's right with fear and trembling. Even if no one understands or cares, God is always watching and holds us in the palm of His hand. If we seek His face and stay in His Word, He gives generously of His endless wisdom, clarity, and direction. This speech Gary Haugen gave at the 2019 National Day of Prayer resonated with us and encouraged us in Galatians 6:9 to "not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not grow weary."
